Michael Rouse won $7,500 at the Edwards Family Memorial.
What won the race: Michael Rouse of Wilson, N.C., led all 40 laps from the pole in winning Saturday's sixth annual Edwards Family Memorial at Lake View Motor Speedway, worth $7,500 on the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. Rouse beat Ben Watkins to the checkers by 1.366 seconds for his first Carolina Clash Series victory this season and third of his career.
Quotable: “Like I said earlier, what an awesome place, all these fans come out to watch us race. I mean look at this racetrack, we could run from top to bottom, anywhere we wanted to go. It’s a neat little place, I love coming here,” Rouse said. “It feels awesome (to win). Just cause I get to stand up here and take all the pictures, man, it’s these guys right here that work on this car every night of the week. They come to the racetrack, they support me and my whole family.”
