Mason Zeigler dominated Saturday's ULMS season opener at Latrobe.
What won the race: Mason Zeigler of Chalk Hill, Pa., commanded the 30-lap Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series season opener at Latrobe Speedway, winning $7,500 in Saturday night's second annual Dave Kittey Memorial. Zeigler secured his first victory of the 2025 season and his fourth career ULMS triumph, his first since Aug. 30 in Bedford (Pa.) Speedway's $12,055 Labor Day Classic.
Key notes: Zeigler captured his first win of any kind since Oct. 26's Keystone Cup at Bedford, worth $24,000. ... Eighth-starting Jared Miley grabbed second on a lap-20 restart and trailed Zeigler the final 10 circuits. ... Reigning ULMS champ Michael Lake recovered to fifth after pitting under the race's first caution on lap nine. ... Brock Pinkerous finished sixth in his series debut. ... Gregg Satterlee trailed Zeigler for the opening eight laps before retiring. ... Alex Ferree held third for a majority of the race until pulling off on the 24th lap. ... The 30-lapper was slowed by five cautions and lasted 26 minutes.
